In this thread, Eric has mentioned music by Willy Ostijn, a Belgian composer about whom I previously knew nothing. Ostjin's page at IMSLP has, as well as lot of his scores, quite a few recordings of his music. It's definitely in the "Light Music" genre and could have been written 50 or 60 years before it actually was (mostly the 1950s), but for those of you who like that sort of thing (which I do, sometimes) it might be worth popping over to IMSLP and sampling Ostijn.

One or two less light works there (Laetitia for strings) but that seems a fair assessment. The rhapsody in C for piano and strings of 1975, I'd add, seems to me personally a bit of a standout (if maybe a minute or two too long- judgment call)- lovely opening theme and good sense of fantasy.
