Thanks very much Mathias for the lovely performance of the fine String Quartet by Mielck. What a tragedy to music his early death was. For those who need movement headings, these are:

I. Allegro energico
II. Allegretto
III. Adagio cantabile
IV. Vivace

hrm. When my computer tries to decompress the Mielck quartet, it decides it needs to compress it yet further.... This has happened before...

Thanks! That's not -supposed- to cause a problem on my Mac (well, actually, there is a limit, but it's pretty reasonable ... I gather), but there might be a stricter limit with the decompression program I'm using (stuffit expander... I think I also tried one or two others last time something like this happened.)

Hrm, odd. When I try to have it run Stuffit Expander, I get "The structure of the archive is damaged (Error #17540)". Will look into that soon.
