I see that last year Naxos released or reissued one of two recordings Fidetzis conducted of his music (the other was of the 3rd symphony, some years back) - this one of 2 rhapsodies and some vocal / choral works. Any good, this one?

I am afraid that the Third Symphony with its Greek recitation made little impact on me :(

The "endorsement" in favour of the second CD Naxos dedicated to Kalomiris has been for me the orchestral scoring of the First Rhapsody for piano by Gabriel Piernè (the Second has been scored by the conductor of the CD).
Colourful and (moderately) folkish music.
Again , in this CD, a percentage of music with narration in Greek (but only ten minutes in an overall timing of 76'38").
Fine for me  the Threre Lyrics for soprano and orch.
Several years ago I bought the Koch CD of Kalomiris First Symphony, "Levendia", (coupled to the much more difficult and tough Skalkottas) and found it fairly good.
