Russian composer, from Hopkin's article in Grove's:
"... he also produced a number of works which brought him recognition as a composer whose command of form and of harmonic inflection betrayed the influence of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, yet whose subtler melodic nuances revealed a personal voice of true expressive power."

His Violin Sonata in g minor, op. 11 is available on youtube, and I for one would like to hear more of his works. His Wiki and IMSLP articles have very little, but I was able to get a bit more info:
