anyone heard anything by Radim Drejsl (1923-53)? Wrote a lot of for-the-cause music in later years in Communist Czechoslovakia apparently but also a flute sonata, a symphony for strings, and a piano concerto (the latter about I think- in about 2 1/2 hours?  to be broadcast, from an LP, on Rozhlas radio (http://www.rozhlas.cz/d-dur) with Eduard Fischer conducting and Mirka Pokorná at piano. These last three works are listed (the symphony in three different performances) in Czech Radio Archives (APF) (as are quite a few of the pep works.). (If I catch it, I'll leave a v. brief note as to thoughts perhaps...)

His piano cto of 1949 was issued years ago by Panton (I do have an old LP) played by Mirka Pokorna / Czechoslovak SO / Eduard Fischer

I can upload the Piano Concerto, if you're interested.

ah. yes, thank you! :) I missed hearing it this afternoon, unfortunately, but I am curious. (fortunately, D-dur has the movement listings I'm always asking after right on their site ...  - Allegro moderato (quasi marcia)
Moderato
Allegro assai ) (good station, I used to listen to it more often.)
