Any more information on this Spanish composer with an exotic name and interesting dates: 1829 - 1915?

Just acquired a CD of two piano quartets and a Grand Quintet by him... very pleasant music though nothing earth shattering.

One piano quartet (in C minor) and piano quintet of his can be viewed at IMSLP, btw (see e.g. here for the quintet- don't know if it's the same one as on the recording.)
