have there been recordings of John William Harmston's (putting aside questions of style and quality for the moment) music (esp. piano solo, but really anything?)

(also string quartets I think, but now I think I may be confusing him with someone else there-- ah, I'm thinking of someone who wrote 3 flute sonatas around the same time and about... right. anyhow, yes, also interested in Harmston...- but the rest, yes.) Harmston was a Sterndale Bennett pupil who settled in Lübeck...

Harmston

I have searched for any recordings of John William Harmston and so far have not found any commercially available. However I have a copy of a CD produced by the Pardabice Music School in the Czech Republic which includes JWH's Op 224, Chant du Soir. I have also commisioned one piece, La Reine du Coeur.

The majority of his works were written for piano although others include flute, cello and violin. There are also two cello sonatas (op 203 and op 222)
