Does anyone know anything more about this Russian composer?  He died aged 29 in the siege of Leningrad.  Some of his pieces for solo piano have been recorded, and it seems he wrote some music for Soviet movies.  The Russian version of wikipedia also says that he wrote a piano concerto, and that would be of great interest. Also a festival overture, expromptu for variety orchestra, etc.  Does anyone know if it has been recorded?

There have been various recordings of bits of his piano music, mostly on Melodiya, but also on other labels. There's been at least one integral recording on CD of his complete piano music. His String Quartet appeared on a Melodiya LP back in the 1960s.

I have a recording of Sofronitsky, no less, playing a scherzo. I will find it and upload it.
