British Flute Concertos by Alwyn, Berkeley, Dove and Poulenc - I think they've obviously been taking lessons in inclusivity from the British Music catalogue.

I'm still trying to figure out how Poulenc could compose a British flute concerto, since everything else he composed was French!

Without looking I'd make a large wager that it's Poulenc's Flute Sonata arranged by a Brit, considering he didn't actually write a concerto for it....

By coincidence I've been reading through, and almost finished, Tony Scotland's biographical work 'Lennox and Freda'. Almost 600 pages of pure pleasure......and vastly interesting. Nadia Boulanger, Ravel, Poulenc, Paris in the 1920s, Britten, Pears, post war music in London.....they all come flying off the page. (And, what is more, the chapters dealing with Paris are written in English!)

So, it's Poulenc's Sonata arranged by Berkeley?  That's not the same as Berkeley's own Flute Concerto is it?
