Alexander Alexsandrovich Illynsky (Il'insky)  Born 24 January 1859 Tsarskoye Selo, Russia -  Died 23 March 1920 Moscow  Russia.

He studied in Berlin under Bargiel and Kullak and later at The St Petersburg Conservatory.  He taught at the Music Society of The Philharmonic Society between 1885 and 1905 and at The Conservatory from 1905, where his pupils included Medtner and Kallinikov.
