No concertante works other than the two sets of variations?

As far as I know, that's it (according to Groves).

What about the Piano Concerto in B minor?

eschiss1

Does someone mention one somewhere? Does the manuscript still exist? This is the first I'd heard of a Farrenc piano concertante work, I think... (actually, I hadn't even heard of "Grandes variations sur l'air Le premier pas, pour piano et orchestre, op. 4" and "Grandes variations sur un thème du Comte Gallenberg, pour piano et orchestre, op. 25" (ca.1838?) before. I wonder if they were published / manuscripts are around, what they're like?)

Bea Friedland's 269-page book "Louise Farrenc, 1804-1875: composer, performer, scholar" (1980: Ann Arbor, UMI Research Press) (Google Books mentions it with one hand, then takes away right of access with the other- well, so it goes; it -is- from 1980) might be useful in answering some of these questions- must see if Cornell has a copy next I'm there.

(1838 date for the Gallenberg variations from Gazette musicale de Paris: Volume 5 - Page 228, 3 June 1838 issue. Don't know when she composed them, but a 1838 performance of them by her is reviewed (positively - we are out of compliments to give her, etc., to translate, I think)- concluding a matinée she gave. Not sure- my French hasn't held up well- whether it was a solo version or with orchestra, etc.)

Bea Friedland's book mentioned a Farrenc piano concerto in b minor.  Apparently, the author didn't recognize that that was a copy of Hummel's b minor concerto rather than an original work.  This is why Grove does not list it in the Farrenc worklist.  I guess the info. in IMSLP is out of date.
