This is a re-release of a 1983 vinyl set, now available on 3 Cd's for the first time. And here are some rarities. The Lindeman family were very influential church musicians and folk music collectors in Norway. The composers from the Lindeman family represented on these Cd's are:

Ludvig Mathias Lindeman (1812-1887): Piano pieces, organ works and choral songs
Anna Severine Lindeman (1859-1938): String Quartet in G minor and Piano pieces
Peter Brynie Lindeman (1858-1930): Piano pieces
Just Riddervold Lindeman (1822-1894): String Quartet in D minor and piano pieces
Ole Andreas Lindeman (1769-1857): Piano pieces

Einar Steen-Nøkleberg and Eva Knardahl are the pianists, Kåre Nordstoga plays the organ, and the choral works are performed by Malmö Chamber Choir.
The Copenhagen String Quartet performs the two quartets.

At the bottom of the page, you will find a link to the informative booklet. Unfortunately I've not been able to hear the excerpts. Seems to be an error somewhere..

The set can be bought at a very reasonable price:

Thanks Morten. ClassicsOnline have the set available for download here, with a (working) audio sample of each track. The music sounds very civilised.

I'm intrigued having another pair of string quartets to add to the lists. (The Anna Lindeman quartet seems not to have been published until recently, the JR Lindeman perhaps likewise. O A Lindeman does have many piano works listed @ RISM, don't know if they're the same ones.)
Thanks!
