Borge was so talented and I have loved him since I was a child, when he occasionally appeared on BBC TV - including "Saturday Night at the London Palladium". In his hands, well-known classical pieces always seemed to very gradually transform into "Happy Birthday", "Pop Goes the Weasel", or some other crass tune... I think only Dudley Moore could match him in that regard.  :)

and then... inflationary language... :D They did a Borge revue here (in Ithaca) a few years ago (I may have seen some of them before that as my father especially has always been a Borge fan)
