Also spelt 'Rybner' and 'Rubner', I came across him in Toskey, noting a Violin Concerto in G minor, Op.30 (1891) which the to author gives high praise. Parts, apparently, are in the Fleisher. The violin/piano reduction is at IMSLP:

Does anyone know any of his music? Or what the correct year of his birth is? (I have found both 1853 and 1855.)

He made music rolls for the Welte-Mignon, and I'm repairing an original roll of his fantasy on DIE MEISTERSINGER for a friend who has the system in a restored 1914 Mason & Hamlin upright. The piece is a very rich, pianistic, and well-structured work, and Rübner seems to have had a pretty good technique. We played it up to the point where there was some significant edge damage appearing and then rerolled it; I can report further once I finish working on the roll and we try it out again.
