I came across this pianist and composer, said to be the 19th century's most important Chilean musician, while reading the fascinating and exhaustive biography of Louis Moreau Gottschalk by S. Frederick Starr, and became curious because he apparently composed a large body of works and is yet nearly unknown today. Starr calls him one of South America's most important romantic composers and mentions not only piano pieces but also the symphonic poem América. Has anyone here, perhaps somebody with better Spanish than me, come across Guzmán?
There is a Spanish language Wikipedia entry and also this biographical entry. There was one CD with piano pieces in 2000 and this can be downloaded here (samples available).
