I have placed a link to a download of a BBC radio broadcast of Sullivan's 'The Zoo' believed to be from 1972 in the downloads section.

Carboy - John Boulter, Eliza - Joy Roberts, Thomas Brown - Leslie Fyson, Laetitia - Lissa Gray, Grinder - Ian Wallace

BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Ashley Lawrence

Thanks very much. It's a new one on me. The Wikipedia article describes it as a one-act opera, and it certainly seems to have been staged.

This just about the only work for which I have a score and libretto.  :o I taped it decades ago - possibly this BBC broadcast - and now have it in the D'Oyly Carte version. A strange piece, I think, very much "of it's time".

It's the only one of three operas Sullivan didn't have published which survived. 'The Sapphire Necklace' and 'Thespis' both disappeared (as did 'The Zoo' for a while)

Anyway, many thanks for the download.
