The former sound - crudely put - like a cross between Busoni and Strauss (if that is possible), whereas the latter sounds like Elgar plus (and magnificent too). A disc of absolutely fascinating music.

Thanks for alerting us, Alan. Good to have the 1st Pasquinade, the 2nd being on the splendid Lyrita disc devoted to Foulds, and I rather like the Tygers dances, so I think this disc will be heading my way.  :)
