For some reason I thought Mr. Fogel was deceased- glad to see this is not so (indeed, I see an interview with him online from a few months ago. I seem to recall he may have been partially responsible for the existence of a favorite recording of mine - Furtwängler 2 w/ Barenboim/Chicago Sym. on Teldec (having been executive director of the symphony and, I think, possibly having encouraged the conductor in recording his mentor's symphony) - and though I mostly know him from the reviews he used to write for Fanfare, what I've heard of his Collectors' Corner programs have been very good...
