Just noticed that Mark's 2012 edition of this Raff biography can be previewed at Google here.
Not that I'm surprised that it is so, but some -really- interesting material, well-footnoted, here... Thumbs-up.

I bought it and it comes highly recommended. I read it in a week although I didn't go through every footnote.
