Atanasov: Borislav

" Borislav" ( 1911)  was Atanasov's first opera. Like his best known opera "Gergana" it is written in the lyrical,  Romantic style and  shows the influence of late 19th Century Italian opera , but is primarily melodic and also bears traces of folk idioms" ( Groves: Opera)   

It was broadcast last night on Bulgarian Radio BTR Hristo. I managed to record all but the last 30 minutes or so. In the vain hope that there is a Bulgarian opera lover who recorded the whole thing  amongst our members... this is a heartfelt plea from an obsessive collector who needs completeness!         
BTW Gergana is available on a CD-Rom together with 10 other Bulgarian operas.... terrific value!
