Henry Holmes 1839-1905

Hrm. Looking for information on his string quartets, not turning up anything at the moment, but I see that Holmes was the teacher of violist Alfred Hobday, violinists Kathleen Parlow and Julius Hartzell Gold (the latter of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra). He also participated in the premiere, in 1878, of Parry's first piano trio.
