Bruch VC3 etc. on cpo

The new cpo recording of Bruch's VC3 has just arrived. It's a favourite work of mine and this is one of the finest renderings of it on CD. The violin playing (Antje Weithaas) is stunning in its range and power and the orchestral contribution by the NDR Radiophiharmonie of Hanover under Hermann Bäumer is both superbly alert and suitably sonorous. The CD also contains the Konzertstück, Op.84 and Romanze, Op.42. Wonderful!
