I meant ungrateful to listen to; I've no expertise with regard to what Schreker might be like to sing. I suspect I just want more tunes, which is not what Schreker is about. No doubt it's my loss, but I prefer to explore other repertoire.

Schreker has very many tunes, but it takes some time to get them into the head. With the early works of Braunfels (especially Ulenspiegel), it is faster and easier to catch them.
