Here's a new one - for me anyway:

Martial Caillebotte (1853-1910) composer, photographer and " father of French impressionist music".

He was also a noted stamp collector... so who says that philately will get you nowhere?

Martial was Gustave's very close brother. Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1894) was one of the founders and, being from a very wealthy family, one of the patrons of the impressionists group. He supported unknown artists by buying their works. When he died, his collection included 19 Pissarro, 14 Monet, 10 Renoir, 9 Sisley, 5 Cézanne and 4 Manet, partly donated to France, and partly acquired by Albert C.Barnes.

Caillebotte's Messe de Paques has just been released on the Hortus label and can be downloaded from Qobuz.

This esoteric composer put his stamp on everything he wrote.
