The Midwest Chamber Ensemble, (with yours truly on the box) has released its second CD, Forevermore, Spohr! which includes the Nonet and the first movement of the Octet.

So allow me to understand- that's US$20 for a disc offering: a little more than half the music that's on e.g. Hyperion CDA66699 (Gaudier Ensemble, with both the nonet and the octet) (the same program is offered by the Nash Ensemble on CRD, for example; MDG offers a MP3-set - $9 @ Amazon - with the quartet-concerto Op.131, the nonet, _and_ an overture as well; for $8, which is less than $20, a recording with the nonet, octet -and- first clarinet concerto (Gervaise de Peyer, clarinet!) - is available...)
