The first volume (2016) of this remarkable, Swedish-German composer, married to composer Julius Röntgen and close friend of Edvard Grieg, Johannes Brahms and other great musicians of the time, was a huge success worldwide.
On Volume 2, Swedish leading violinist Cecilia Zilliacus and pianist Bengt Forsberg perform Maier's beautiful violin sonata, and Nine pieces for violin and piano. Soprano Sabina Bisholt makes her CD debut with her interpretation of Maier's wonderful songs. World premiere recordings of 8 of the 17 tracks. Official worldwide release date is October 6th, 2017 as physical CD and digital downloads (no streaming).
