Bass/bass-baritone Theo Adam, who sang in recordings of eg d'Albert's Tiefland, R-K's Mozart und Salieri, Schreker's Die Gezeichneten  and Schoeck's Penthesilea among many other things from Baroque (eg Schütz & Telemann) to Modern (eg von Einem & Cerha), died Thursday aged 92.

A very eminent singer whose voice I never liked all that much, finding it rather grainy and unsteady in comparison to his great contemporaries.
