Joseph Schad  Born Steinach, Bavaria  6.5.1812   Died  Bordeaux  4.7.1879

He studied under Friedrich Frohlich and Aloys Schmitt. He became a concert pianist, composer and also professor of piano, firstly at the Geneva Conservatory and from 1847 at the Bordeaux Conservatory.
