Zarzuela is the closest I get to opera, and I love it. This concert is a fine showcase of the genre. The energy and precision of the orchestra is apparent, despite some balance issues in the recording, and the soloists are just amazing. Placido Domingo's voice is still both powerful and beautiful. The audience reaction tells it all!
