My goodness, what a lovely work the F major Violin Sonata from 1908 is. I never cease to be amazed at the sheer ability of Röntgen to create something of surpassing beauty. Do get hold of this wonderful CD - and hear Christoph Schickedanz's luminous violin playing for yourself.
