Weigl Piano Concerto/Rhapsodie/3 Songs

A new recording of Karl Weigl's 1906 string sextet, as orchestrated by him as a Rhapsody for string orchestra, is among jpc's list of cpo's new releases (coupled with the piano concerto in F minor of 1931 performed by Oliver Triendl, and the 1916 "3 Songs" with orchestra. See JPC.)

Having listened to my copy twice, I can attest that this is another nice feather in the cap for Oliver Triendl and his enterprising colleagues. If you've enjoyed Weigl's Regerish world so far, you'll enjoy this too.

Even I may start by streaming the sextet, though I expect I may enjoy the whole disc. (We may have had a recording of the F minor concerto as an aircheck or something at one point, but I don't think I saw I see it anywhere, so perhaps not- the earlier left-hand one yes, but not this one.)
