Nice, I guess, but, am I the only one hoping with more enthusiasm that they record symphonies that are not commercially available yet?

Justin

How does it compare to the Sterling recording?

Alan Howe

The Sterling recording is of the A minor Symphony (No.2); the competition in this C major Symphony (No.1) comes from this recording which we've discussed elsewhere:

...and I'm not greatly impressed with the work. But that's just me...

Since cpo now seem to be releasing details of new recordings on YouTube, is there any way of tracking them or are we relying on chance discoveries? Or are we benefitting from a certain amount of inside knowledge on the part of particular UC members?

They used to have some pages on the jpc site, like komponistenverzeichnis, that sometimes gave advance hints of upcoming products, but this seems to be true less and less I believe... I've sometimes found out information from upcoming projects pages of performers/performing groups' own websites, from time to time.

Alan Howe

Right - thanks, but how about tracking them systematically on YouTube?
