I thought this work had been recorded before and that we had discussed the earlier recording or this one, but I see neither (except for a school tape of two movements from this work in a library catalog.) So the new Chandos recording of Luise A. Le Beau's piano quartet in F minor Op.28, coupled with the best of Brahms' piano quartets (no.2 in A major) (a work I am always glad to hear again, but maybe others here not so much, I understand), released in May, might just be more-or-less a world premiere recording.

(Though now that I check, there's a recording on YouTube that looks like it could be related to a commercial recording that I can't otherwise track down. Confusing. I'll give one or both a listen if I haven't already...)
Anyway, that's aside from the point that what we have is a 25-minute piano quartet from 1883, dedicated to Franz Lachner, and worth a go, I think.

This link seems a little temperamental but if you have access to Apple Music, it takes you to a recording with Le Beau's Piano Quartet, as well as various and sundry Boccherini and Schubert pieces.
