Hans Huber "Tell-Symphonie" "Swiss Orchestra" season opening

The first symphony by Hans Huber, the so called "Tell Symphony", will be played by the "Swiss Orchestra" in their season opening concert on 24 September.

That's adventurous programming. Good for them!

The "composer from here" approach is a good way to introduce people to unsung repertory, particularly when it is combined with such a Swiss theme as the Wilhelm Tell legend. It's a really good way to create a positive predisposition rather than fear of the unknown.
