Does any one know of a recording of Novak's early piano trio in g minor? Edition Silvertrust used one as their sound clips. It is almost certainly no commercial recording since I can't find one, but the sound is not historical either. (It is certainly no digital rendering, of course)
I will also email am enquiry to them. I guess that is some kind of private recording taken from a now forgotten live performance?

This recording is so obscure, there's absolutely no info on this other than these two pages. Even Kubelik Trio's official website doesn't list it. Maybe it is only possible to get more info by asking performers themselves......

Sonetimes the best solution, -if one can-, is to put together a new performance :)

Eric, I'm asking a friend of a friend who is in conservatory about hiring him and some of his fellow students to put up recording sessions of this work. Likely it wouldn't be a studio recording, but he estimated a recording made in a practicing room would sound good enough. It wouldn't be published on a label anyway and I would make it available free on internet if the project came to fruition. A even more enticing prospect is that if it succeeded, I would perhaps commission a few more recordings of other unsung chamber works without available or decent enough recordings in the future.

Yes, indeed. The more Novak the better, IMHO.  ;)

I have this very elusive CD, but can't lay my hands on it at the moment. I could upload the booklet if that helps. I had great difficulty in obtaining it to the best of my recollections! But I also remember it as a good performance/recording. I imagine that it is this recording that Silvertrust has used.
