Title: Rode VCs 3, 4 & 6 on Naxos

Well, I hadn't expected to enjoy this CD, but, for example, VC3 begins in fine Sturm and Drang style and continues pretty much in that vein throughout its long first movement. This is virtuoso stuff, but not without backbone I'm glad to say. The orchestra, thank goodness, isn't one of those anaemic ensembles which often feature in music of this period and the violin part is superbly played by Friedemann Eichhorn. Thoroughly worthwhile at Naxos' bargain price...

The third concerto is one of my favorite Rode concertos Alan...and I love that Friedemann supplies his own cadenzas.  I love this 19th Century Pop Music :-)
