Post by: Alan Howe on Friday 07 October 2011, 18:48
Can anyone help me locate extant copies of scores of solo piano music by Friedrich Gernsheim? Any pointers gratefully received...

Alan, there's quite a lot in the British Library - here's the link to the first page of their collection of Gernsheim scoreshttp://catalogue.bl.uk/F/H6LJ1Y31VSTF75HE2ECV9KIH8Y32UVPT9GX7NKLQVTGKI22DG5-34490?func=short-jump&jump=000001 (http://catalogue.bl.uk/F/H6LJ1Y31VSTF75HE2ECV9KIH8Y32UVPT9GX7NKLQVTGKI22DG5-34490?func=short-jump&jump=000001)

You might do better to look up Gernsheim on COPAC - www.copac.ac.uk (http://www.copac.ac.uk) - because that lists copies at most academic libraries and institutions in the UK and some of these may be more easily accessible (and charge less for making copies) than the BL. Also, some items listed on COPAC can be obtained through inter-library loan.
