Post by: Peter1953 on Saturday 31 December 2011, 10:30
Anything but a thrilling topic, but just out of curiosity...

What is your last CD purchase of this year?
Mine is the double CD with orchestral music by Alphons Diepenbrock (on Chandos).

Maybe Arnell's symphonies 1 and 6.  But it's only 0608 here.  Lots of time yet.

Another one added to the wish list, thanks Mark!

I've not bought any CDs recently as I've been moving house (which explains my absence from these boards, add to that my former ISPs lack of organisation which lead to 1 month without the internet...)!

Mine was nothing unsung, maybe a bit from a very sung composer.
Brahms Serenads, with Mackerras from Telarc. Arrived yesterday (finally!), bought it in October.

I think Cameo is a one-person operation so I usually contact David directly. Volume 3 I did see a purchase button and bought through Paypal. I appears the purchase link was up for only one day and I have no idea why. It shipped from France (where David lives I think). Contact him at......... cameo-classics@orange.fr

I'm trying to think of a CD I bought more recently than 3 Naxos CDs in early-mid 2010 (Taneev, Babbitt, Sibelius), but having some trouble...

Fürtwangler's 92nd

There's obviously an awful lot of Furtwängler symphonies waiting to be discovered; they've clearly been in haydn for years... ;)
