Does anyone knows this australian composer? Are his works being recorded?
NLA has some tape broadcasts of some of his works (see here (http://nla.gov.au/nla.cs-ma-an44303628)) but at least on a quick search I can't seem to find others - wouldn't know about any plans to record any works by (presumably) Horace James Perkins 1901-86 from Gawler, Australia but maybe someone else is more in the know!
I will be posting a violin concerto by him in the next day or so. I've not been able to find much biographical or background information.
I've just posted the Perkins VC. It's a very melodic work.
