Title: The Cobbett Association
Post by: John H White on Thursday 03 December 2009, 22:33
Following on from Hofrat's Mention of Edition Silvertrust on the Rauchenecker thread, I wonder how many Forum members know about the Cobbett Association which actively promotes lesser know chamber music. This organisation, which publishes a very informative quarterly newsletter, The Chamber Music Journal,  edited by Ray Silvertrust, can be found at www.cobbettassociation.org. The current issue examines amongst other things, string quartets by Hugo Wolf and piano quartets by a couple of Polish composers. The extensive CD review includes quartets by Hans Rot and Carl Goldmark. Well worth investigating if you are a keen chamber music player or listener!

I subscribe to the Chamber Music Journal and always find it a worthwhile and stimulating read. It's mailed from the US.
