Title: Forgotten String Quartets
Post by: lylechan on Tuesday 10 July 2012, 23:24
A unique eBook about unjustly neglected string quartets is available for free from:

www.forgottenstringquartets.com (http://www.forgottenstringquartets.com)

Yes I wrote it :) and I'm sure there's nothing else like it. Unlike a normal book where you'd just be reading about a piece, it contains listening links to YouTube videos so you can hear a work right away.

Most of the composers are indeed unsung. Of course the book also deals with well-known composers whose quartets are inexplicably unheard. Enjoy!

Well done Lyle! I'll say a bit more when I've finished reading it through.
    Cheers,

Well done, a great resource.  I will be perusing it for ideas for the concerts at Conway Hall
