Frederick Bowen Jewson Born 26 July 1823 Edinburgh, Scotland - Died 28 May 1891 London, England
Was son of a professional musician and initially taught by him. Later, he went to The Royal Academy of Music in London to study under Cipriani Potter and John Goss. He became a professor of piano and subsequently a director on the Board of the Royal Academy of Music
