Title: Glière piano music
Post by: Alan Howe on Saturday 06 March 2010, 23:39
A CD of Glière's piano music formerly on Olympia has been re-issued. Excerpts here...

It's a very nice CD (I've had the Olympia one for a while). Nothing overly great (though Gliere in general is a favorite composer, and I'd love to have more of it), but pretty, classy, late romantic Russian piano music and recommended if you're into that sort of thing (which I'm sure most here do)

Seconded - I have the disc too in its earlier incarnation on Olympia.  I got it because of the Esquisse as I played one for my ABRSM Grade VII about 20 years ago.  I like the Preludes as well.

I never bought this, but think I'm going to take a punt now, having listened to the audio excerpts at Amazon. Great stuff.
