I have received a copy of a 30-minute documentary on Rufinatscha (in German) produced for the bicentenary of his birth last year. It contains interviews with Gianandrea Noseda, Kristjan Järvi, Franz Gratl (Rufinatscha scholar at Innsbruck) et al. and brief snatches of Järvi conducting Symphony No.5 (now 4) and of Karlheinz Siessl conducting Symphony No.3.
Obviously, the main barrier to understanding is the fact that the DVD is in German (and there don't appear to be any subtitles). However, it may be that friends here would still be interested, so perhaps those who are could register their interest in this thread? I gather that the DVD is to be available from one of the two producers of the film, Stefan Nicolini, at a price to be announced...
Count me in, please, Alan.
Thanks, Mark. Anyone else?
Yes, please.
Thomas
