Polish composer who studied in Berlin under R F Vole and from 1857 in Paris under N H Reber and C Reinecke. He later became the Director of The Warsaw Conservatory.

Note that every single work seems to be in a shorter, ternary or strophic form except for the concerto, which really is a concerto in F minor with no first movement. Apparently he didn't feel very secure working with sonata structures.
