Title: Maliszewski Overture
Post by: JimL on Friday 22 February 2013, 16:50
Many thanks for the DL of the Festive Overture, Marek, but there seem to be many apparent signal drops.  They don't really stop the music, but they can be quite distracting.  Is there something in my iTunes that can smooth them over, or is there a program I can obtain that can process them out?

yes, I know it. It happens quite often to me. Cannot tell what might be the reason for that - poor streaming of the Polish Radio signal? poor software? hardware reason - not sufficient memory? It is really irritating

whew.......I thought maybe it was my computer doing it.

Sometimes I find it helpful to shut down everything else possible on the computer when capturing a broadcast or other download.  Computers are SOOOO touchy.

Oh, and thanks, Marek, for the download.

I assume this is what my Groves (5th edition) calls "Merry Overture" and Wikipedia calls "Joyful Overture". I see that Maliszewski was another entrant to the Schubert centenary competition, with an overture on themes from the B minor symphony sketches. To be honest, I'd never heard a note before!
