Title: Heinrich Hofmann chamber works from MDG
Post by: Mark Thomas on Wednesday 08 May 2013, 06:22
I have a particularly soft spot for the mellifluous music of Heinrich Hofmann, so it's a delight to see a new offering from MDG: Hofmann's Octet, Sextet and Serenade for Flute & String Quintet. Details (but no audio extracts yet) at jpc here (http://www.jpc.de/jpcng/classic/detail/-/art/Heinrich-Hofmann-1842-1902-Serenade-op-65-f%FCr-Fl%F6te-Streichquintett/hnum/1077672).

Looking forward to a comparison of the MDG recording of the serenade with the one that's in archives :)
