there's a new name to me (and a pseudonym besides) ... but she composed, at least according to Wikipedia, piano concertos (... do they survive?) and 2 operas among other works. There's a little music by her @ IMSLP. Born Elizaveta von Schultz in St. Petersburg in 1846, became a piano student of Henselt early on..., - (eventually died in Bonn in 1926; the article about her in Wikipedia is rather interesting... here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ella_Adayevskaya).) Has anyone here seen much of her music, heard any of it?
Thanks...
Excerpts of her Preludes for voice and piano have been broadcast years ago. I recorded them but can no longer find the cassette.
But a complete recording is available:
