Title: Jadassohn & Brüll
Post by: eschiss1 on Monday 10 February 2014, 04:35
This instalment of the Cameo Classics series of " Music of 19th century Jewish German Composers", to look forward to (I think this may be new. Volume 2 - Brüll symphony and serenade no.1, released 2009, is being reissued. ) -

Volume 3 - serenades by Jadassohn and Brüll (Brüll serenade no.2, Jadassohn serenades 1 and 2 Opp.42 & 46 (see MDT (http://www.mdt.co.uk/jadassohn-brull-music-of-19th-orchestra-marius-stravinsky-cameo-classics.html)).

Eric,

Unfortunately, this too is a re-issue (previously Vol 3, CC9031CD).

I keep tracking this label, hoping they can issue some of the other unrecorded works by these two , most-enjoyable composers.  Brull's Serenade No. 3 and Jadassohn Symphonies 2-4, for example.

Best wishes

Richard
