Title: Enescu
Post by: sdtom on Monday 04 August 2014, 15:25
I've been exposed to yet another new set of material from George Enescu his Isis and 5th Symphony. Released by CPO in 2012 it was just made available to me in the new Naxos product guide release.

No: it's only recently been released, in fact. Here's a link to the existing thread on the topic:

Sometimes Naxos can be painfully slow or they try to pawn off a re-release as a new one.

On the JPC site there's usually two data: the year(s) the items on the CD were performed/finalized, and the year of release.  As one sees here (https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/cpo/detail/-/art/george-enescu-symphonie-nr-5-fuer-tenor-frauenchor-orchester/hnum/3097665) this one was recorded/finalized in 2013 (though parts of it seems to have been ready earlier- I recall the Isis part was on YouTube earlier?...) - but not issued commercially until May 26 2014 - both facts noted on the linked page (CPO, DDD, 2013; "Erscheinungstermin: 26.5.2014".)
